Motorcycling in the Ottawa Area

I'm an avid motorcyclist, with a preference for sport-touring and twisty roads, and an avid but slow track-day rider. Also an instructor with the Ottawa-Carleton Safety Council Motorcycle Rider Course (the Canadian equivalent of the MSF).

Presently the proud owner of a Kawasaki KLR-650 and former owner of a number of other bikes.

 

Rides I like in the Ottawa area

While we don't have the luxury of being situated in canyons and twisty roads, the Ottawa area still offers some fine riding roads only short to moderate distances away. Good rides range from an hour to a day in length.

My experience is mainly West of the city. Here are some of my favourite routes.
