Motorcycling

I’m an avid motorcyclist, with a preference for sport-touring and twisty roads, and, in younger days, was an enthusiastic but slow track-day rider. Retired from it now, I was also an instructor with the Ottawa Safety Council Motorcycle Rider Course for several years.

I’m presently the proud owner of a Ducati Multistrada 1200GT, and the former owner of a number of other bikes.

Rides I like in the Ottawa area

While we don’t have the luxury of being situated in canyons and twisty roads, the Ottawa area still offers some fine riding roads only short to moderate distances away. Good rides range from an hour to a day in length.

My “local riding roads” experience is mainly West of the city.
